Tonight we had an engagement adventure exploring the Portland south waterfront with Mandi and Jordan. They’re getting hitched next year. So much fun! Can’t wait to get through all these photos. Here are a few to hold you over for a couple days!

We love that wedding season is finally here. We’ve had several weekends with weddings back to back and I couldn’t be more happy. Today’s featured wedding is from Holle and Chris Nolte. They were married at the Ainsworth House in Oregon City. We just love this venue. The grounds are well maintained and gorgeous. Ainsworth House is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Oregon City. I could have walked around the grounds for hours taking photos of the beautiful flora and fauna, but alas, Holle and Chris were even more fascinating!

Holle is blessed with a natural glow. She loves to giggle and laugh. Chris isn’t used to being the center of attention (either is Holle!). You can see the happiness swell up in Chris as Holle cracks a joke, or busts a move. He just can’t help but laugh with her (or at her!) I’ve been so blessed by this adorable couple. They show that true love knows no age…

Hello there world!

Posting up a quick sneak peak of our 2016 bride and groom, Whitney and Matt. They’ll be tying the knot at Postlewait’s Country Weddings next summer and we’ll be there to capture it all. In the mean time, we just finished their engagement session at Orchard Park in Hillsboro, Oregon. Primarily a park for frisbee golf, it also has another hidden secret; the Rock Creek Trail. This trail serves as a fantastic destination for photos, with lots of bridges, water and tall green grass to make any photography swoon.

We are lucky enough that our backyard is right on the trail. So, we decided to make it a date, and have Whitney and Matt over for some kabobs and drinks before venturing out for our session. We really love that connection we have with our couples!

Hope you enjoy a few of their photos. More to come soon!

Thanks for dropping by!

The day finally came we’ve been waiting for! We wanted to incorporate “engagement adventures” into our business this year. Essentially, rather than finding a local park or green space to snap some photos, we want to create a memory of a fantastic day. And that’s how One Love Adventures was born! Peter, Danielle and I combed through locations and they finally settled on a 2.4 mile hike in the Columbia River Gorge.  There are so many places to hike. We chose the gorgeous Angel’s Rest Trailhead, about 10 minutes away from Multnomah Falls. The hike has an approx. 1000 foot climb to the top, to a breathtaking view of the Columbia River below. If you remember from our blog post over a month ago, Mike and I scouted the location first, so we knew what we’d be exposing Danielle and Peter to. Of course we fell in love with the location! We just had to wait for this spring weather to make up it’s mind and give us a day to get up and enjoy the hike, without the rain and wind killing our fun.

Danielle gave the dramatic view a run for its money by changing into an amazing lace dress. She. Was. Stunning! Peter was enamored by his lovely fiance. They were so loving and gentle with each other. Danielle was a natural in front of the camera. This session really couldn’t have gotten any better folks.

Here are some of our favorites!

A huge thank you to Peter and Danielle for making the trek with us!
